四川一个民间戏班的十一名成员共同生活在小剧场里，每天演出数小时，把地方戏、杂技和各种民间表演混在一起。年轻演员丹丹从小跟母亲在戏班长大，是团队的台柱。后台争吵、家人般的亲密和对未来的不安交织，她仍继续为年长观众认真演出。
Eleven members of a Sichuan folk-opera troupe live and perform together in a small theatre, presenting long daily shows that mix local opera, acrobatics and popular entertainment. At the centre is teenage performer Dandan, who grew up in the troupe with her mother. Between backstage conflicts, family-like bonds and uncertainty about the future, she continues performing for an ageing local audience.
