影片梗概｜Synopsis

二十岁的二妹生活在中国北方一个贫困农村家庭。家人为解决经济困难，准备把她嫁给本村男子，以彩礼缓解债务；二妹却离开村庄进城寻找工作和独立生活，却在那里遭遇另一种形式的困境与剥削。

Twenty-year-old Ermei lives with her impoverished family in a northern Chinese village. When the family plans to marry her to a local man in exchange for a bride price that could solve their financial problems, she leaves for town to seek work and independence, only to encounter new forms of exploitation and hardship.
