随着三峡工程推进，奉节老县城面临拆迁和淹没。影片跟随当地居民、苦力、基督教会以及负责移民搬迁的干部，记录家园和生计逐渐消失的过程，以及大规模迁移所带来的冲突、不安与情感创伤。

As construction of the Three Gorges Dam advances, the old city of Fengjie faces demolition and submersion. The film observes residents, migrant workers, a Christian congregation and relocation officials as homes and livelihoods disappear, documenting the conflicts, uncertainty and emotional strain produced by mass resettlement.
