An elderly couple live deep in the mountains, occupying separate caves and barely speaking to one another. Their lives run side by side like parallel worlds, connected by poverty, habit and the basic work of survival. The film patiently observes this near-silent coexistence and asks what remains when companionship has been reduced to endurance.
