影片梗概｜Synopsis
父亲去世后，年轻的金生不得不离开学校照顾祖母，并回到贫困的家乡担任代课教师。村里无力支付正常工资，只能给他一间破旧教室和一头花奶牛作为报酬，但金生仍努力维持学校，让孩子们继续上课。
After his father’s death, young Jinsheng leaves school to care for his grandmother and returns to his poor home village to work as a substitute teacher. The village can offer him little more than a dilapidated classroom and a black-and-white milk cow as payment, yet he persists in trying to keep the school and his students going.
