This feature documentary revisits the 1955 Anti-Hu Feng Campaign, one of the earliest major political purges of writers and intellectuals in the People’s Republic of China. Through interviews, archival material and historical reconstruction, it examines how the campaign destroyed careers and lives and established patterns later repeated during the Anti-Rightist Campaign and other political movements.
