蒋能杰重新回访自己连续跟拍三年的山区村小，这里的孩子约八成是父母外出打工的留守儿童。他采访二年级学生，听他们谈自己的梦想、与父母的关系以及每天的生活。孩子们真实又天真的回答，也让长期亲子分离对他们成长的影响变得格外清晰。
Director Jiang Nengjie returns to the mountain primary school he had followed for three years, where about eighty percent of the pupils are children left behind by migrant-worker parents. He interviews second-grade students about their dreams, their relationships with absent parents and everyday life, revealing how children imagine a future while growing up with prolonged separation.
