At a special school in Zhengzhou for students with hearing and vision disabilities, adolescent girls confront the familiar problems of growing up—friendship, rebellion, teachers, attachment and uncertainty about the future. Communicating through sign language, movement and song, they reveal a world of strong personality and emotion that resists being reduced to disability or pity.
