北京鸟巢以北，数万名来自河南的外来人口靠回收废旧物品建立起一个临时社区。家人、同乡和邻居共同构成一个既非城市也非农村的“废品城”，但随着北京继续开发，他们又面临拆迁和再次迁徙。
North of Beijing’s Bird’s Nest, tens of thousands of migrants from Henan build a precarious community around the collection and recycling of discarded materials. Families, neighbours and fellow villagers create a makeshift ‘waste city’ that is neither fully rural nor urban, only to face demolition and another forced move as the capital continues to redevelop.
