1955年，三百多名上海青年怀着支援大西北建设的理想来到三里洞煤矿。五十年后，当年的建设者大多已经去世。作为矿工之子，林鑫通过仍然生活在当地的老人、他们的劳动记忆和逐渐荒废的工业环境，记录这一代人的艰辛与理想。
In 1955, more than three hundred young people left Shanghai for the Sanlidong coal mine in northwest China, inspired by the promise of building the socialist frontier. Half a century later, only a small number remain. Made by a miner’s son, the documentary records the survivors’ labour, hardships, memories and the abandoned industrial landscape they helped create.
