上世纪九十年代，一座河边小城发生老妇人被害案，刑警队长马哲负责调查。证据似乎不断指向一个显而易见的嫌疑人，但新的事件和矛盾又一次次破坏结论。随着调查深入，马哲对理性解释的信心逐渐崩塌，案件也变成关于真相、执念与不确定性的迷局。
In a riverside town in 1990s China, police chief Ma Zhe investigates the murder of an elderly woman. Evidence repeatedly points toward an apparently obvious suspect, yet new incidents and inconsistencies make certainty impossible. As the investigation deepens, Ma’s confidence in rational explanation begins to erode and the case becomes an unsettling meditation on truth, obsession and ambiguity.
