阿邦和家人住在山上，靠种茶以及各种重复的体力劳动维持生活。季节安静流逝：朋友离开，有人突然去世，阿邦对一个女孩的感情也无疾而终。后来，计划生育政策带来的一笔高额罚款再次打破这个家庭脆弱而平静的生活。
Bang and his family live on a mountain and support themselves by growing tea and doing the repetitive manual work of rural life. Seasons pass quietly as friends leave, one dies unexpectedly and Bang’s affection for a young woman comes to nothing. Their fragile routine is further disturbed when the family faces an impossibly large fine for violating birth-control regulations.
