The documentary follows gay men and lesbians as they negotiate whether, when and how to come out to their parents. Through intimate conversations within families, it examines fear, secrecy, parental expectations, acceptance and rejection, showing that ‘coming out’ is less a single declaration than a long process of renegotiating family relationships.
