湖南农村一个初三重点班正在准备决定升学机会的中考。多数学生都是父母外出打工的留守儿童。沉重课业、有限家庭支持和青春期反叛交织在一起，让他们站在继续读书与不确定未来之间的十字路口。
A class of ninth-grade students in rural Hunan prepares for the high-school entrance examination that may determine whether they can continue their education. Most are children left behind by migrant-worker parents. Under intense academic pressure, limited family support and adolescent rebellion, they confront a crossroads between further schooling and an uncertain future.
