王佩英是一位有七个孩子的寡母和铁路系统职工。经历大跃进和大饥荒后，她公开批评当时的政治路线，随后被送进精神病院、遭受迫害，并最终在文化大革命期间被处决。几十年后，她的女儿和相关见证者通过访谈与档案重新拼起她的一生，保存这位始终拒绝认错女性的记忆。
Wang Peiying, a widowed mother of seven and railway worker, publicly criticized Mao-era policies after witnessing the suffering caused by the Great Leap Forward and famine. She was confined in a psychiatric hospital, persecuted and eventually executed during the Cultural Revolution. Decades later, her daughter and others reconstruct her life through testimony and archival documents, preserving the memory of a woman who refused to recant.
