Using video recorded between 2005 and 2009 during the Village Documentary Project, Wu Wenguang looks back in the first person at his evolving relationships with participating villagers. Rather than offering a formal history of the project, the film focuses on trust, conflict, collaboration and the messy human entanglements that developed behind the scenes.
