《治疗》最初是吴文光为纪念2007年去世的母亲而开始的影片，素材来自他此前十二年间陆续拍摄的影像。随着导演重新整理旧录像，作品逐渐变成一次关于家庭记忆、哀伤、疏离以及如何重新理解逝者关系的私人追问。
Beginning as a film made in memory of Wu Wenguang’s mother, who died in 2007, Treating grows out of footage shot over twelve years. As the director reviews old images, the film becomes a personal investigation into family memory, grief, distance and the difficulty of reconstructing a relationship with someone who is no longer alive.
