长春庵在毛泽东时代被关闭，改革开放后重新恢复香火，村民再次来这里烧香、祈愿，也彼此讲述生活烦恼。一位老人回忆农民经历过的土地改革、集体化、大跃进和文化大革命等政治运动，使寺庙的复兴与中国农村几十年的历史变迁连接起来。
Evergreen Temple, closed during the Mao era and revived after Reform and Opening, again becomes a gathering place where villagers pray, burn incense and share their troubles. An elderly man recounts the political campaigns he and other peasants lived through—from land reform and collectivization to the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution—linking the temple’s revival with a broader history of rural China.
